Our visit to the Baptist church in Parramos, Guatemala
On Thursday after the pastor's conference ended we returned to the church in Parramos to talk further with the leadership there. Our church is considering a partnership with their church to lend support in several ways.

The interior front door of the church

The church has a school - and the children greeted us in the gym area.

The children lined up around the gym walls to give us their greeting. It was very special! (This is the same area where we had worship on the previous Sunday morning - see below...)

After the greeting we visited their classrooms

The classrooms have many needs ... ceilings, floors, walls etc, etc...

Learning hand stitching skills:

We then viewed some of the needs of the facility

The next few pics are of a space that needs to made into classrooms. The country has given them one month to complete this project or lose their accreditation. ONE MONTH! I pray they are getting it completed!

Here's Mark with Kenneth Summey, pastor at Lascassas Baptist. They might consider sharing in the partnership with us at Calvary

Pastor Samuel

After our tour we met with the pastor and his assistant to talk about the needs of the church - we met in the back of the sanctuary. The sanctuary looks very different than on Sunday when Mark preached there. They were having their 68th anniversary of the church that day and had decorated the gym and we had the worship service out there. This is their usual place of worship.

Here's how it looked on Sunday morning (May 1st) when Mark preached:

And here's are pics of the school children sharing a song during the worship service that day:

Now, back to the meeting with Pastor Samuel on Thursday afternoon:
